Yeah, That makes sense......

Welcome to a new segment of my blog. A recurring segment on subjects, mainly purchases that we make every day that we should look at more closely at.

So a couple of weeks ago I noticed the gas prices started to go down. The news agency says that by fall gas prices will be under 2 dollars. For 2 weeks I noticed a few gas stations including costco go down below 2.50. Just this last week they have all jumped 20 cents. Why??? They haven't even accommodated for the oil price drop. Why the increase??? Well labor day is coming up. So no other reason than to stick it to our wallets they are increasing gas prices. Uh huh. That makes sense. Obviously we all have places we like to go but consider doing stay cation instead. Stick it to them and their analysis. One more thing. After labor day only fill your tank half full. I have a feeling prices are going to drop daily. No need to give the oil companies more money. I mean seriously what have they done for you. Oh and p.s. investors, stop trying to make oil go up. Your going to get burned.

August winner

When chosing a winner I just don't automatically find someone with desperation spewing all over their add. In order for it to qualify as an I can't afford it, it does have to meet certain guidelines. I can show you several adds that need and  want to sell or can't afford written all over the add but because something doesn't add up I just can't qualify them for the I can't afford it award.

Before I chose my winner I wanted to show you two previous winners who STILL haven't sold their car/truck. Now realize how many freedoms you give up when you sign your loan that these two are dealing with right now.
If you remember back in may I chose this car

Why? Well when you find out more info on this couple you'll find out they just had a baby (paid through medicaid I'm guessing) they are getting items for that baby through state programs such as wic and are going through college but can't afford a car. Although they can afford an all inclusive trip to Cancun and a diamond ring but again can't afford their car?
Well as of 2 weeks ago it's for sell at a reduced price.

K one more thing. I just found out this couple just bought their first house. This is honestly confusing to me. How can you not afford a car but can afford a house all of a sudden??  Especially when your add says that you don't have a job?

Very confusing. Apparently in today's market you don't need steady income to buy a house or is this where parental support comes into play?

My June award is still up for sale
I actually didn't include a picture when I wrote that blog but this is it.
This was the one where the guy bought it but put it up for sale BEFORE his first payment was due. Why? Lost his job and didn't have ACTUAL assets to back up his purchase. This again proves my point that truck owners who finance their trucks ARE selfish especially towards imediately family.

So moving forward let's start with the runner up of this month's "I can't afford it award "

The runner up in this case didn't have alot of information on wether he needed to sell or if he was forced to sell. I still chose him because he just doesn't get it.

1000 dollars down? Realy you think you deserve a thousand dollars to get out of your car payment? I don't care if it's worth more. Your the one trying to get out of a car loan not selling a car you own. You dont have any right to an extra 1000. I'd wait till this guy is a little more desperate than offer him 3000 dollars less than kelly blue book or what he's asking whichever is less. Make him pay me money to buy it.

The winner this month is another lease-er and like the last lease that won he too lives in provo. (Must be a provo thing) He's still a kid at heart with a growing family and he has half a mortgage payment for a car payment uhm actually car rent payment because hes not actually buying it.....no..he's throwing away 500 bucks a month to look like a millionaire. Only problem is millionaires own their car. When will you?
The Winner of this months CPA'S " I can't afford it award"......

The Lexus Lease-er

Sooooo...what's his family issue that came up? My guess? Well his wife IS pregnant so I'm guessing they are having financial difficulties due to a baby. Babies are expensive. You can't live a millionaires life if your not a millionaire. Indebting yourself to look like your upper class is stupid. This is where charities need to stay out of. These people realy do need to hit rock bottom in order to learn the true value of a dollar.

Hope you enjoyed this month's winner.

Screenshot Unload

It's again time to unload and delete some photos in my screenshots. Most of these photos could take an entire blog post but for Screenshot unload I like to keep it simple.

Starting with this

I saw this last night and thought this was incredible. Look at the price difference of the two!. Now I know some vehicle expert is going to try to tell you why the "glorified" town and country is so much more than the base dodge caravan but consider this. What is it that you need on the two what can you afford and then work on your wants. You'll probably find out that they both have the same engine transmission back up camera dvd player reliability ratings room and may even look almost identical inside. So why would someone say they want to pay an aditional 11 thousand dollars? My opinion, Just because it's newer and somehow that makes them feel good that they could afford something so expensive. Makes them feel like they have just graduated to an upper class. Soon like some they realize they have to budget to extremities to achieve that payment and then sell it for less than they own just so they can keep their house or eat. Thats no way to live. Keep your car loans at 5k and under and that's ONLY if you have to.

Switching topics.
This showed up in my news feed and brought back old memories.
When we bought our house on a short sell the person who attempted to buy it before us lost their opportunity due to a missed car loan payment. I find this very interesting for 2 reasons, 1- I wonder what happened to the person who fell through on their part of the agreement, and 2- I find it interesting that it's still up for sell. Does this mean the real estate market is slowing down or signs that people's paycheck to paycheck spending habits are catching up to them finally forcing them to realize they may have bought to much house or can't afford a house due to degrading credit? Interesting.
I think this next one has to be related.

I'm almost positive they are. It would be more interesting if they weren't and raise more questions.
This again is another young married couple going into excessive debt over a house. More than likely the story went something like this. They both work income is high buy a house mom gets pregnant mom stops working can't afford house go on assistance and are forced to sell the house. OK that is high speculation but it does happen.

Oil prices are falling and so are gas prices. I already wrote once on the effects of putting to much trust on a high paying job and then being forced to sell everything. Later I proved there was submittal evidence pointing toward church assistance when a particular family was still living in a 9 bedroom house driving a new car keeping their horse and their ATV.
So I think we will be seeing more of these classifieds

Look unless you have a bank account with over 100000 you have no arguments when it comes to owning that expensive vehicle.
Your just plain and simply stupid for financing a vehicle that expensive.
I found this just the other day

Top paragraph I wrote a topic on titled expensive truck owners.
My in laws are also in debt go on vacations and have (and will agaim) file for bankruptcy. (Remember last post? Card declined at a rush concert )
I have wrote Several blog post on too many young families buying too much house resulting in living on welfare. Sometimes even keeping their house.
Again this proves alot of my points.

I have made the argument before that when you fall on hard times and are asking for welfare that Animals including dogs and horses SHOULD be considered expenses. It's unfortunate that so many families get away with this. Animals are NOT human they are animals and HUMANS come first. If you didn't plan well or you fell on hard times by accident you and your family come first so sell your higher priced possessions and get rid of your pets.
I have to shake my head. They just don't get it. Get rid of the dog you are in dire straits. You and your child come first! If the homeless is offering you a room with no pets you get rid of that dog!
Too late to be a canadate but I found this add interesting.
In an older post I told you I was convinced it was woman who convinced themselves and their husbands through denigrating influence that they're not going to live a life in slumps. They were going to have newer stuff because they were too pretty or too popular to be driving something older. This is a prime, example of that. There's one other thing I'll point out. Notice that it was BRAND NEW in September and she has already put 21000 miles on it? Doesn't that say something? She had ALOT of free time to put on that many miles on it which means she was having a vacation every week. I'm guessing she had this car for 34 to 36 weeks before posting this add. Thats 583 to 617 miles a week! A. You really think she thought about oil changes and B. You realy think situation changed? She probably blew through her student loans and a fun time but is realizing uhm she has to work for money.
I found this next truck intesting
That's slot of miles. My main reason for posting this is to further prove cars can go well beyond 200 thousand miles. Even if you have a few problems or need to rebuild or replace an engine or a transmission cars can give you alot more value if your willing to put time and patience in purchasing. Now that being said this truck is not worth what he's asking. I don't care what kelly says I wouldn't pay more than 800 for it.

I think that's it for this screenshot unload. It took me two weeks to finish this and I have a few new ideas for blog post. One is currently being tested as we speek. I also have 1 or 2 post still pending on my vacation. Also there's only 6 days left to get an I can't afford it award out. Time to get busy.

Saying goodbye to a frienemy.

Written the first weekend of my two week vacation.

I always knew that there would be a day that this would happen. It was written since a friend of mine crossed the line. I guess I might of been hoping that some day he would realize his mistake say he was sorry we could be friends who hung out every time we visited. Unfortunately it's finally ended just like I thought it would through none other than an unfriending on Facebook.

They were are first friends when we moved to utah "our couple". They had no friends his wife needed someone to socialize with and so did mine. It was perfect. Over time I slowly realized that they craved their life without kids back. They found their couple with no kids and quickly switched gears and spent most of their time with them. Both of us tried to keep the relationship alive but due to us moving away them ditching a babysitting appointment and then them moving our relationship slowly faded to nothing. I did want to unfriend him after the baby sitting incident but I think I wanted to get emotional revenge. Maybe I did.
They are mentioned in my first post. One of the main reasons I have this blog. I was sick and tired of getting taken advantage of by families who were subsidized through family or government programs and then flaunting their easy life's on their blog. I really did have a poor life and because of that friends slowly faded away. If your not fun and exciting to hang out with and you have no funds (money) they were gone. Thats happened to me twice.

Well it's done now. One more step  achieved to get to my ultimate goal of moving on deleting my past feelings forgiving and moving on.

To you P.B. Thanks for being a friend when we both needed a friend. Thank you for your help during our desperate need for someone to take our kids especially during our unfortunate dr visits. May your life be fulfilling and maybe someday we still will have a chance to be friends.

Catching up (Title Page)

So I Just got back from a LONG 2 week vacation. After traveling through 4 states 1 hotel 4 nights camping and traveling over 3000 miles with non stop fun I am finally home packed with things to catch up with. My house my garage and even my yard is begging to be cleaned so needless to say I don't have alot of time on my hands.

The next few post either happened before my vacation or durring. At one point I had no cell service or Internet for 3 days. That was kind of nice. I did have to travel 30 miles to pay some bills. So without any particular order enjoy the next few post.

Being that I was on vacation and still technically am, I'm doing this 1 day late. If it wasn't obvious in my 1st nomination of the month that it was going to be hard to beat than I will again introduce you again to the winner. It is that one and only nomination this month, The young couple who were sucked into buying the 40 thousand dollar 2015 Honda Odyssey. Still available with only 100 miles. Kinda in a rush here is the link.
